SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — HTeaO, a national tea chain, and Free Rein Coffee Company, a coffee company founded in San Angelo, are set to open a joint location in San Angelo. Here’s what to know.
According to a public relations representative for HTeaO, the companies, which have an exclusive partnership to bring Free Rein’s coffee beverages to HTeaO locations across the United States, will bring both businesses under the same roof as part of a joint venture.
The venture is between two people: Bryan Benson, HTeaO’s first franchisee who currently operates San Angelo’s sole HTeaO location and opened the company’s 100th store in College Station, Texas; and Karl Pfluger, a co-founder of Free Rein Coffee Company and a San Angelo native.
The representative stated that the store will be located at the corner of Sherwood Way and Hunters Glen Road, near the H-E-B grocery store found at 5502 Sherwood Way Service Road. The location is expected to span approximately 2,400 square feet and have outdoor and indoor seating.
The joint beverage shop currently has a projected opening timeline of quarter four of 2025 to quarter one of 2026, as per the representative.
HTeaO was officially established 2018 and has since grown to have locations “in 14 states and counting,” according to its website. Free Rein Coffee Company was founded in San Angelo in 2023 and has since spread its brand to stores across the Lone Star State.
