The Texas-based chain is growing quickly by sales and unit count.
In a world dominated by drive-thru coffee chains, HTeaO is focused on a different beverage: Tea.
The quick-service restaurant chain was founded in Texas in 2009, and by 2024 had 136 locations, making it one of the 20 fastest-growing chains in America by both sales and unit growth. Those locations are in Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, and Florida.
These stats rank HTeaO amongst the likes of drive-thru beverage chains like Ellianos Coffee Company, Swig, Better Buzz, and 7 Brew.
While HTeaO locations do have drive-thrus, they also have lobbies where consumers can browse merch and snacks, and sample over 25 tea flavors, ultimately creating their own concoctions. I opted for a combination of the sweetened strawberry passion tea and the unsweetened mint tea.
Options include sweetened, unsweetened, and caffeine-free teas — and coffee is in fact available as well, drawing in a larger consumer base.
Customers can also get any tea by the gallon to take home.
